Tsum Excelsior

The aim was to create a boutique of world-famous fashion brands, managed by Excelsior Fashion Group, inside an abandoned building known as TSUM in the centre of Krasnodar: four floors and 3,000 square metres.

Although the building is not yet listed, we sought to preserve its historic character in a contemporary key that would sit well with its new role as a boutique, installing modern shop windows and an entrance in glass and metal.

Lifts and escalators were installed inside to ease movement between floors, and openings were cut in the floor slabs to house a monumental chandelier descending from the attic ceiling — more than 14 metres long.

The chandelier has become the signature of the renewed TSUM building. The completed project is a true quintessence of past, present and future, bringing together such famous fashion houses as Christian Dior, Gucci, Valentino, Prada and many others.
